Notes

For a more authentic Latin flavor, use Mexican oregano, which has citrusy and mild licorice notes. If using regular Mediterranean oregano, it will still work but will taste more like Italian seasoning. This recipe makes about 1/2 cup total, or 24 teaspoon servings. Adjust salt to taste if you prefer a lower-sodium version. Store in a sealed jar away from heat and light for up to 6 months.
